Found under pine needles
Found under pine needle cover near Flagstaff. Taking a spore print.
Large, 6-9 inches tall, two of them popped up!
The species smells like fish has the same color as the springtime Amanita I know it’s in the family of grisettes but could definitely be springtime amanita growing under a lot of oak.
Hygrophorus pudorinus
Grassy sandy soil under white pine and Douglas fir. TAC717
