I have been fascinated with everything in nature since childhood, especially insects. I credit my mom with a lot of that, as she tied bumblebees on strings to my fingers and collected fireflies in Mason jars to entertain me. Later on I developed an interest in moths, and found BugGuide and Moth Photographers Group on the internet, which helped tremendously with identifications. So for most of the year my house looks like a major airport with lights and sheets set up, looking for moths. I live in the home I grew up in, located in Chelsea, Alabama. I'm also into birds, and dabble in visual arts and music. My favorite species include Zale moths and dagger moths.
