Description
4 stamen, 1 style. Blue corolla that is United, 4 parts; calyx 4 parts. So same number of corolla lobe as stamen. Gentian. Pretty tall 30-40 cm), linear cauline leaves in 2 pairs, and base of calyx comes to a somewhat acute point (like the mouth of a funnel). Gentian barbata (Hulten) and Gentianopsis dentosa ssp. yukonensis (Cody).

Growing on alpine summit of South Suicide Peak on metamorphic boulders. 5,007 feet elevation. Full sun, very dry. With several other Umbilicaria spp. and crustose lichens. Tick marks in photo with scale are millimeters.

Description
Lupine. Long petioles and very hairy. I knew it was here but the population has crashed over the last 10 years. I had to search for hours to find these few plants when before it was no problem. There is white sweet clover everywhere!!! I think this non native is impacting the habitat for this species and many other species.
