Appears to be M. monica by range and the gonopods look identical to me. M. porrecta is the only one nearby afaik but it seems to be restricted to Kern cyn? Gonopods look very different imo
If they are M. monica I was surprised to see how bright the bioluminescence was. After ~10 min in a dark room it was possible to resolve details of individual rings, legs, antennae, etc. Variation across the range?

Description
Approximate length = 8 - 9 mm. I found this small millipede by picking up a fallen twig with some attached moss and gently tapping it against the edge of a small plastic container. After taking this series of photos, I returned the millipede back to the moss on the twig where I found it. I always do my best to minimize how much I disturb the critters I wish to photograph -- my aim is to leave them unharmed and in the exact same microhabitat/location where I discovered them.
