I noticed some young foliage of live oaks near a grassy field with heavy notching damage, so I came back after sunset to see who was doing it. I did find one other chrysomelid, but this species was abundant, with many mating pairs. Keyed out using Blake (1974), and checked against other sources for the FL species not listed in Blake.

National Moth Week iNat meetup with jcochran706, rkostecke, pufferchung, and a few others. Cool spot for mothing, with about 8 different stations spread across the area. Lots of very cool bugs tonight!

Collected Palo Verde seeds, had them in folded paper such hanging up. Heard rustling and found this guy with the seeds. There were two holes in the paper and 3 seeds with holes. It seems two others have escaped.
