Description
A yellow specimen that was found among several blue specimens. At the time of observation, it had been suggested by some that the yellow pigment may have been a result of chromoprotein breakdown due to heat. However, no other yellow specimens were seen, although several had beached at the same time.

Diving along the north side of Napili Bay, max depth 15 feet.
Massive cone! Spotted an oddly triangular "stone" half-buried in the sand and carefully flipped it over with a plastic sand shovel handle I'd found previously on the dive (blue thing in photo).

A cat in the university's parking lot was playing with a rat. When I first saw them, the rat was frozen. As I got a little closer to see them, the rat tried to escape but the cat jumped, grabbed it in its mouth, and ran away.

Description
This cowrie is often seen in pairs. This particular one is a devoted mama keeping a watch on the eggs that she has laid. Many species of cowries are good parents. Alas, the Miliaris cowrie is listed among the threatened animals of Singapore.
