Blue-banded Longtail. Went looking for a female Darkmouth and found this instead! Had the wrong lens on, and only got one shot, but will return.
this sp. looks best fitting- found in long grass near to where Black knights were until recently found. Wasn't at all shy, in fact flew to within several meters to me. Seems to change faces, pics 2 &3.
Female
saw this female flutter into a bush, thought it was an unusually small Sapphire but had the characteristic Jewel like flight pattern. She flew down into the base of water grasses and started laying eggs before disappearing into thicker grass (last pic shows the area)

Male, took a number of trips to this area before getting shots of the male.
Female
Been chasing a shot of a female, got some average shots of a pair in tandem.
Some heavily cropped shots of the male terminalia included. Form of the superior appendages is hard to make out but the inferior appendages are moderately elongate and slender without a hooked apex (in lateral view) and appear to be divergent in dorsal view, excluding L. brevicauda and most consistent with L. conjuncta. Form of the basal wing venation eliminates L. barbarae as a contender.
