Confusion. Based of calyx tapered vs rounded. Kinda looks gray-green? Don’t see a brown apiculus on leaf tips. Most of the flowers have shorter outer sepals, a few have longer.

Tentative ID, will try to return to examine seeds for membranous covering & overall number per fruiting calyx. Overall smaller than plants in our gravel hill prairies that I believe are L. stricta, and branching on this plant is less upright/appressed to central stem as I believe points to L. intermedia. These are all new to me, and I haven’t yet to my knowledge seen a third species with shorter outer sepals which is also reported from the county (L. pulchella)
