Slightly disappointing that it wasn't a Maratus, but I forgave it quickly. This was a tiny little spider that was very good at jumping the moment that I got it in focus, and a split second before I fired the shutter ;-)

Description
We were visiting the Lake Clifton Thrombolites so we explored the very sad, parched parks in the area. There was a track to Lake Newnham. I assume this lake usually has a lot more water, but it had a vast beach of thick salt. At one point there was a "tide line" with stranded, dead invertebrates. It would have been great to explore further, but I'd forgotten to take sunglasses and the glare off the salt was burning all retinas :-)
