@clauden @tesserazoa2 @cemills I cannot discern anchors in any of these photos which, afaik, eliminates Manania and Haliclystus. However, in Lucernaria the arrangement of the arms and tentacles looks as though there are four arms each with two tentacle clusters — here I observe eight arms. Also seems small for Lucernaria — I estimate this specimen was two inches long.

Coastal foredune, with Ammophila breviligulata. First of this year. This species was significantly impacted by Hurricane Fiona. No fruits were found in Fall of 2022, 3 were found in all of 2023 (2 at this site), and today 50+, nice to see them back.

Jamais vu ici auparavant, ni par d’autres pêcheurs rencontrés ce jour-là.

Louise Basin, Quebec City, 2nd basin after the lock (fishes rarely seen here). 2nd specimen found in 3rd basin a few minutes later.
I’ve never seen that species here, nether have fishermen I asked around on that day.
