Seen Greater Yellownape on a lyonia (local name ayar) tree; eating a bat, constantly disturbed by a flock of Eurasian Jays.
Maybe the first observation on Inaturalist..
Insecta: Lepidoptera
Noctuoidea; Notodontidae
Kamalia priapus (Galsworthy, 1997) (original combination was Cerura priapus, then transferred to Paracerura in 2002
Hong Kong's own "puss moth"; also known from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Burma and Taiwan, Hainan, Guangxi
Note that the genusParacerura was described by Schintlmeister in 2002, whence this species was transferred from the genus Cerura. However, Paracerura Schintlmeister 2002 is a junior homonym of Paracerura Dehavening & Oliviera, 1996, so the notodontid genus was given a replacement name, Kamalia by Koçak & Kemal in 2006
