Breached at least 8 times over the course of a few minutes
Encontrado en Cerro grande, La Serena
Ate a mole crab, then threw up a pellet.
Sea star seen in downtown Boston at Long Wharf.
It took up about 12 inches in diameter or space. I did not see it leave, so I don't know how big he was stretched out.
I'm told the tail can be used to identify unique individuals?
Found in our workshop in Whistler, wanted to confirm if this was a snowshoe hare.
Lots of forest around so hard to know where the little guy came from. Was extremely hot, so probably looking for somewhere cool.
Squamish SPCA will take him and we hope then release once he's big enough.
Eating fruit after choosing carefully and picking it from adjacent tree. ALMONDS.

Blacklighting on the open trail in the Deering Estate North Addition Preserve. My setup was facing some remnant saltmarsh habitat and I had another sheet set up down the trail facing the mangroves. I was using cheapy DJ blacklights powered by USB battery packs (the kind used to charge phones). To learn more about the lights used in this setup, see here: https://www.inaturalist.org/journal/damontighe/11836-diy-moth-light

Perched up on tower next to some warehouse buildings. There was a red-tailed hawk perched on the same tower just six minutes prior (it flew off unproked).
Female looks to be missing a leg and has an egg sac.

Note: this bird, which escaped 12 years earlier, was NOT pinioned, so please do not mark it as "Captive."
I didn't see any females around so maybe this male was practicing his display

I saw an opossum crossing the road. I wasn’t able to get a picture but trust me, it was definitely an opossum

Never seen this bird before. This app only IDs it as a Setophaga Warbler. Another bird app said it could be an American Redstart?
