Western terrestrial garter snakes were also present at this den. 7 regular red local common garters, and 10 western terrestrial garters found today. A separate observation was made for the other color variation of common garter snake

Description
Flipped this snake under a large brick in a pile on a hillside. What a shock and what an incredibly rare snake in this area! The belly of this snake was shockingly iridescent and metallic. This was unique of night snakes I’ve seen in Utah.
