Description
This colony of Rocky Mountain bladderpod is from a location a few miles east of Del Norte, Colorado. It was recorded in 2004 by Ronald Hartman and is still thriving today, with many plants in pinyon-sagebrush foothill habitat. A fault of calcareous onyx runs close to it. For more photos and discussion, see the page in Flora of the Rio Grande Watershed in Colorado: https://sites.google.com/view/richhaswellflora/physaria-calcicola. This observation would add Rio Grande to counties shown for the species in Ackerfield, Flora of Colorado (2022). Note that the third photo here shows the ovules, and fifth the branching hairs on the lower side of a leaf.

Anyone who actually knows this insufferable genus wanna help me out? Pedicels distinctly s-shaped and leaves up to 1mm which got me here pretty confidently. But it’s just so disjunct from other populations

I was surprised to see this plant blooming in August.
This is probably the same species as was presented at the 2023 Colorado Rare Plant Symposium as Physaria "Cathedral Spires".
