Description
Hundreds and hundreds, almost certainly well into the thousands, of individuals stretching up the length of the fen, both north and south of Hwy 926. This was by far the healthiest orchid population I’ve seen in the province. Along with all three sundew spp., hundreds of Cypripedium parviflorum pubescens, lots of Neottia cordata, Cardamine polemonoides (C. nymanii), hundreds of Pedicularis parviflora, and a couple healthy patches of Polygaloides paucifolia.

Incredible population here. Some of these trees easily 1500 years old or older, 1.5 m dbh, ground uneven and mounding probably due to thousands of years worth of old trees and logs buried beneath. Very healthy stand, never been logged. A sacred g*damn forest if there ever was one.
