Description
Easy to see why the Rosy Maple moth has evolved to look like the samaras (winged fruit) of a maple tree. Adaptation at its best.
Moths came to the lights, and I threw in the samaras that had just fallen from a nearby maple.

Took several photos of parasitized Catalpa Hornworms. One adult parasite appears to be emerging from cocoon. I.D.? Also, my neighbor bought Common Milkweed plants that were covered by Monarch caterpillars who were sporting lots of wasp cocoons. Not good!
