Larva on host plant: Turritis glabra (Tower Mustard)
Thought I'd share the development of an Anise Swallowtail caterpillar turning into a chrysalis.
Got to look at every shot!
My poarch camera happened to catch an owl catching a rat who was stealing my suet! I couldn't believe it when I saw the video. I have uploaded a gif, but it looks like it only works on the browser version of the site, not on mobil.
Getting a more specific ID I would imagine is difficult because none of the frames are super clear, but have at it.
Gift-Lattich (Lactuca virosa) in Hockenheim kurz vor der Blüte
Hyphantria cunea
Fall Webworm
Early flight, but OK for late June.
One brown band on the abdomen.
Legs dark-line for their full length, not banded.
found on ground and put it on a stick to get it off the trail. Probably dying, but made for some great photo opportunities! Also had a group of kids visit the nature house to learn about bugs so I got to show them all this nice dragonfly
