I wanted to provide some images one could compare to figures in Stebbins (Peterson Field Guide) for Rana mouth parts. I am a permitted biologist. California red-legged frogs are listed under the Endangered Species Act, do not handle the species without the supervision of a permitted individual. This California red-legged frog is infected with the parasite Ribeiroia ondatrae causing it to have a deformity.
