Accidental bycatch when trout fishing

discovered this failed catch and release next to the Northwest fishing dock. Shameful

rust on Lomatium utriculatum

Single large plant in flower, climbing up a deciduous tree growing in the cutbank.

Small schooling fish common along the wharf. Only one in the school had red pelvic spines, and a noticeably crooked tail.
