First record for Kejimkujik NP. Only the white form was present. Very rare in NS (Clementsvale & Bear River areas). Somewhat threatened by trampling and bike parking at this site, but the disturbance keeping the area open is probably important to its persistence too.

Habitat : hardwood forest, fairly shaded, damp soil, red berries
Traits: Deciduous, shrubs, bright red berries, toothed leaves
Approx no : 2-3 plants per 15-20m
Associate species: Brambles (Genus Rubus)

Species Traits : toothed leaves, thorny stems with pink flowers when in bloom.
Approx no : 3-4 plants per 10-15m
Associated species : Hollies
Habitat : hardwood forest, fairly shady, fairly dry well drained soil.
