On Monday 11/23, at around 8:14 pm, me and my sister where on our way back from getting food when we noticed this HUGE possum on the tree. I literally jumped out of my skin and to be completely honest don't ever recall actually seeing a possum ever in my life until that moment. It was around 68 degrees outside and It was sniffing and biting some of the trunk until it stopped and stared at us. This possum was looking for food and soon after I took this picture it ran up the tree and disappeared.
significance:
Possums are often regarded as the clean up crew. They benefit to ecosystems by eating pest such as ticks, slugs, beetles, roaches, mice and so much more. Possums are also scavengers so they do eat garbage and carrion! They are a small moving clean up crew
