Bird's presence brought to my attention by shrill call. Bird located in tree above walkway from Central Station to Wickham Terrace. Birds common in area where I live (at Indooroopilly).
A group of maybe 6 eating pine cones. 1 looked like it was Baudin's long thin bill whereas the others appeared to be Carnaby's.
Great Ocean Road roadkill. Like a darter but in an unusual location
Head missing, wings abut the size of a pigeon's wings.
This critter was scurrying incredibly fast across water, in a drain pipe in Greenslopes, Brisbane. Making it's way halfway up a wall and stopping, long enough to take a photograph.
If it hadn't stopped, it would've been impossible to capture, as it was moving so fast.
I'm unsure of the species as yet.
The fourth photo shows the environment the organism was found in.
A nest containing three Baza chick was found at Sandy Camp Road. The two parent Bazas were working around the clock bringing Dainty Tree Frogs and Goliath Stick Insects to the nest to feed the chicks. These photos show the food being brought to the nest.
