Now there's few people about there are heaps of these plants coming through a part of the compressed gravel track.
Interested in the greeny-silver plant. Looked a little like lambs ear but the leaves are wrong. A contact suggested Gnaphalium spp. but he could not be sure. The leaves were about 0.5-0.8cm across so not a large plant by any means. Observed on a coastal bank along the red rocks trail, right next to what looked like a debris fan.
Seen near some large Swan Plants. Seemed easily frightened, it flew away just as I started taking its photos (lucky to get one shot).

One of the moths that came into a light trap in the evening at the Boyle River Outdoor Education Centre.
possibly a Juvenile, female redpoll. very sorry for the bad quality, accidently used 20,000 ISO (manual).
