Growing on the ground in leaf litter next to stream.

Smell and taste pleasant, mushroomy.
Coastal native bush. Growing terrestrially. Kanuka, Nikau, Mahoe present.
Cap was rough, furry to touch. Three mushrooms photographed all close together.
Washed up on beach.
There was a lot more on the surrounding rotting branches.
