Identified as Chrysomelidae on Bowerbird by Ken Walker
According to Wikipedia, this useful plant is a 'perennial prostrate herb', rich in vitamin C, niacin, and riboflavins, so let's start calling it Scurvy Herb...or even better, something like Native Vitamin C Herb - the leaves can be eaten to prevent scurvy, as the first non-Aboriginals found. I can't find mention of Aboriginal Australians eating it and wonder if they did, and what their name for it is??? Can anyone help?
