Adults attached to the underside of a rock in the low intertidal.
Collected while snorkeling along the beach, very close to shore. I think this is the best way to find shells in this area since they don't wash up on the beach in big numbers but there are nice piles just a few feet from shore (beware of breaking waves though).

Location estimated, photographed about an hour after collecting them. I returned all the shells with cavities to the ocean in case they had crabs or other critters inside. I threw the others in the sand.
