Taken on Lake Creek Trail in Williamson County, Texas while birding with Pat Watson.

This morning Pat Watson and I found this Couch's Kingbird on Lake Creek Trail in Northwest Austin (Williamson County). A few Couch's Kingbirds began appearing on the trail in the spring just a few years ago. They seem to be breeding here although we haven't documented a nest yet. I heard and then spotted this at an inaccessible place across the creek. I played a little bit of recorded song and it flew over to us to investigate and counter-sing.
