It's the fourth day of Moth Week! https://nationalmothweek.org/

Observed while blacklighting on second floor patio walls. I had one Entoquip Entolight and seven USB 395-400 nm LED UV blacklights hooked up to wall outlets from sunset to just before sunrise. I snapped pics from 10PM-11PM and then right before sunrise from 5:40-6:30AM

This was my best night of blacklighting in California so far and I was very impressed by how many insects showed up! I am sure the warmer temps overnight made a huge difference.. I'd say I had about 10 times as many insects by number and species compared to other nights earlier this week when the temps were below 70 degrees after sunset and closer to 60 at sunrise.

Conditions: 94% moon illumination, 78 degrees at sunset and 73 around sunrise, negligible wind
