duplicate observation
found I think by @thetidepooler
Six woodlice (all Porcellio scaber) found infected. All living among crevices on the same redwood tree.
Host: Porcellio scaber
rocky intertidal right at sea level—
3 individuals seen (don’t think I got photos of others) and 2 egg ribbons (separate observation)
thanks to @juliabohemian for showing me the area to look in
Stranded out of the water pretty high on the beach shortly before a .9 ft low tide. Really surprised to see 2 with the tide being that high.
Crabbed. I keep picking up tiny ones hoping it’s a red turban but I’m too far south I guess. 😞🤷🏻♀️
I have never seen one of these! One of the kids found it in a big tide pool! None of the iNaturalist suggestions look anything like it.
This guy was tiny- a little bigger than an inch.
Saw this road on my run at night on the trail next to the sewers.
Mad River Beach, Humboldt County, California
Is this acceptable? None of my stills of this intertidal octopus were very great so I thought I'd try a gif, which I've seen others do here before.
