Rautahi
One of numerous seedlings. Very distinctive leaf shape with two distinctive v's in the leaf (see pic of cross section of leaf). Leaf has sharp hooks on underside and rather 'cutty'. Abundant within a patch of planted swamp forest on a floodplain, in relatively sunny positions. Unsure whether they were planted furing restoration plantings, however they appear to be spreading naturally now.
