Clade: Archosauria - exhibit parental care and diapsid skulls.
Class: Aves - aphyodont, vocalize and have feathers.
Order: Suliformes - totipalmate feet and a gular pouch. While not pictured, there was another one present that exhibited diving behavior.
Weather conditions: This was a cool day and it was very sunny.
Specific location: The bird was found resting on a concrete slab in the middle of the lake at Depot Park.
Behavior: The bird was simply staying still and was not interacting with the turtles or fish that were nearby.
