While picnicking on our last day of our (dream-come-true) Australia vacation, we stopped at Bribie Island for fish n chips and a quick play on the playground. When observing the water, I quickly realized the sand seemed to be moving. Upon closer inspection we were treated to seeing this massive group of blue soldier crabs!!!! Absolutely stunning!!!!

Found this cutie in our chicken coop, helping itself to the buffet! 🤣🤣🤣. We let it finish one egg and then gently relocated it to the other side of the yard. We’ve named him “The Darkling” and he has been a regular visitor to our chicken coop for the last several years now.
