Stephen Thorpe

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Stephen Thorpe. I hope justice is served swiftly and the assailant caught. We have lost a highly valued member of our community. Although I did not meet Stephen, he was the first to identify a beetle that I found which he noted was a new to New Zealand observation. He also assisted in identifying many other observations of mine. His skills and commitment will be sorely missed. May you rest in peace Stephen and thank you for your immense efforts
