iNaturalist

Hi:

I met Scott Loarie in early September 2014 at the National Naturalist Conference being held at the Clark County Wetlands Park, Nevada. We spoke at length and he demonstrated the iNaturalist Project on his lap top computer which totally amazed me and I decided to join the program. My joining iNat at that time took some education and directions from Scott since I had little experience with computer function.

After Learning the basics I began up loading a few observations I had collected back to September 21 2012. Then I added quite a few for October 2012 and was well on my way as an iNaturalist participant. The past eleven years has be a fun experience and I have learned a lot about desert fauna and flora of Nevada which represent probably more than 95% of all my observations, with the remaining minor percentage from many sites around the world.

After a significant bout of Cancer and its very devastating treatmentbegining in late 2022 and through early 2023 I resumed observations in Nevada somewhat reduced by by the physical effects of the CA treatment. Having turned 81 this year I hope to continue hiking around southern Nevada looking at all the interesting plants and animals and photographing for observations on this project.

I comment Scott Loarie ands fellow creators of iNat which is a massive project today for a huge human population who look at natures wonderful natural resources.
