I am a mycologist with an interest in ecology, nutrient cycling and conservation with a focus on metabarcoding of soils. I primarly focus on ectomycorrhizal fungi because of their conservation value and functional ecology - many species are threatened due to the clear cutting of forest ecosystems but they are also important conduit for belowground carbon allocation and soil organic matter turnover.
