Quarry area on South Table mountain. A fast-shrinking puddle filled with salamanders.
Found wild in a riparian corridor just east of Morrison.

I do not have the exact date, but it was almost certainly May possibly June. The 1978 year is accurate but the website will not let me put in a data range.
The location was No Thoroughfare Canyon in the Colorado National Monument. It was not from the lower canyon but 1-2 miles or more upstream from the parking area.
Found hanging deceased between two rocks, swaying in the breeze. About 4 ft long and extremely thin, very odd placement
Snake appears to be massively outside of its natural range
